Kim Hamm

Kim grew up in Manitoba and is the CEO & President of Dogtopia, Canada. Kim Hamm held the the position of the VP of Operations for the Dogtopia US Support Office from 2015 to 2019. Her prior background includes 10 years of hospitality and hotel management in Canada. She received her Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University. Kim has a rescue dog named Sophie whom she enjoys long hikes with.

Xerxes Wania

Xerxes is the owner of Dogtopia of Kitchener with his wife. He has been an entrepreneur in the technology sector for the past 20 years. After exiting his last start-up Sidense, Xerxes wanted to spend time doing the things he’s never had time for which lead him to foster dogs. He is also a skilled woodworker and makes one-of-a-kind furniture as a hobby.

Dylan Richards

Dylan joined the Dogtopia Team in early 2019 as General Manager of the three locations in Calgary. Previously, Dylan was a key leader bringing his financial background to positions in the Entertainment and Aerospace and Defense industry. Dylan believes in making the world a better place and has served on numerous boards including the Medicine College and won an award working with youth, as well as Top 40 under 40 in Medicine Hat. An avid volunteer, Dylan can be seen around the hockey rink or ball diamond coaching and teaching children important life skills through sport.

Deanna Delyea

Deanna has been a Director and Officer of Dogtopia Enterprises Canada Inc. since its inception in January of 2013.  Deanna is the co-owner and Controller of GAD Industries Inc. providing management and bookkeeping services to several organizations.  She is a Director and Officer of Thomas Pride Canada and several other Canadian organizations including Thomas Franchise Solutions Ltd. and the Thomas Foundation. Deanna is also a Director of Dogtopia Enterprises, LLC and Chairman of the Compensation Committee.

Janet Hoffman

Janet is co-owner of Dogtopia of Regina East along with her husband Brad.  After a few years of retirement on an extended trip visiting the southern US via RV, they, along with their Poodles, Bo and Luke came across Dogtopia and not very long after, brought the franchise to Regina.  Janet is a CPA and brings a solid background in operational efficiency and financial accountability while owning and operating a technology company for 20 years. The family recently purchased an acreage outside of Regina, to enjoy their passion for the outdoors and country living.

Peter Thomas

Peter was one of the leading real estate developers and lenders of his time in North America. He brought the franchising rights of Century 21 Real Estate to Canada, founded Samoth Capital Corporation (now known as Sterling Centrecorp Inc.), developed the Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is the Chairman of Dogtopia. After the tragic loss of his son in 2000, Peter decided to focus his time and energy on social entrepreneurship and to share his experience and philosophy of values-based living and leadership with others.

Rita Thomas

When it comes to living life to the fullest, author and philanthropic whirlwind Rita Thomas has the right idea – live true to your values. For Rita, those values focus on wellness: body, mind, and spirit. That philosophy infuses everything Rita does, including her key advisory role in the development of LifePilot and her involvement in various charitable boards.
